Illicit affair leads to murder: Jhajjar police arrest wife and lover

The district police have solved the murder case of a migrant labourer whose body was found in a park near Ballu Wali Kui area two days ago. The investigation revealed a shocking twist: the victim’s wife, Mamta, was the conspirator in the killing, driven by an illicit affair with her neighbour, Hari Om.

According to Inspector Vivek Malik, in-charge of CIA Jhajjar, Chunni Lal, the victim’s brother, filed a complaint on April 26 stating that Jasveer had left home intoxicated and never returned. Chunni Lal and Mamta searched for Jasveer and eventually found his body near the park with strangulation marks and head injuries, indicating a brutal murder. A case was registered at the Jhajjar City police station.

The police launched a detailed investigation under the direction of Jhajjar Deputy Commissioner of Police Logesh Kumar. Based on emerging clues, Mamta and Hari Om were detained for questioning. During interrogation, they revealed their illicit relationship and conspiracy to kill Jasveer. Hari Om confessed to luring Jasveer to the park, intoxicating him, and then strangling him.

The police seized mobile phones belonging to both accused for forensic analysis. Mamta was sent to judicial custody, while Hari Om was granted one-day police remand for further interrogation.
