Madhya Pradesh: Separate Board Will Be Formed For Recruitment Of Police Force

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A separate board will be formed for recruitment of other grade-three posts including constable, sub-inspector in Madhya Pradesh Police.

This board will help in completion of recruitment process quickly. Currently, recruitment is being done through the Staff Selection Board, in which the entire process takes about two years.

During a meeting at the Police Headquarters on Saturday, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has asked DGP Kailash Makwana to prepare a proposal for this and send it to the government. The board will be formed after approval from the cabinet.

In the meeting, the Chief Minister also said that a special plan should be made for recruiting youth from backward tribes like Baiga, Saharia etc. in the police.

Shortage of police force

According to information the officers of the selection branch of the police headquarters were suggesting the formation of a recruitment board to the government for a long time, but the Home Department did not take it seriously.

During the review of law and order in the meeting on Saturday, the Chief Minister talked about forming a board to overcome the shortage of police force.

Actually, due to the pressure of many examinations on the Staff Selection Board, the recruitment process itself gets delayed by about six months. After this, when the recruitment starts, it takes about a year to conduct the examination.

The reason is that six thousand or more posts of police constables are being recruited at one time. The Police Headquarters has decided to recruit every year, because at present about 20 thousand posts are vacant.

500 SI and 7,500 police constables are to be recruited

The state government has approved the Police Headquarters to recruit 7,500 police constables and 500 sub-inspectors. The Police Headquarters has also sent a proposal to the Staff Selection Board to fill these posts.

The board has set a target of releasing the results for these posts by the end of this year, but the number of candidates is more than one lakh, due to which it is difficult to get selected this year.

In such a situation, if the board is formed before the recruitment process begins, then it will be easy to fill these posts through it. Apart from this, the government is preparing to recruit constables every year in view of Simhastha. Recruitment will be done quickly after the formation of the board.
