Angry Over Not Getting Paneer During Wedding, UP Man Runs Bus Over Guests
Wedding festivities in Uttar Pradesh's Chandauli turned into chaos after a man crashed a minibus in the weddding hall. At least six people were inujured in the incident and goods worth Rs 3 lakh were damaged all because the accused did not get 'paneer' during the feast.
The guests had gathered for the wedding of Rajnath Yadav's daughter in Hamidpur village of Mughalsarai Kotwali area on Saturday. The wedding procession or the barat arrived at the venue late in the evening.
Everything was going fine until a man entered the hall and went straight towards the food stalls. However, Dharmendra Yadav got irked when he did not find paneer (cottage cheese) among other dishes.
Angry Over Not Getting Paneer
The host, Rajnath Yadav said that Dharmendra came to the wedding and started eating and asked for paneer. "When he did not get it, he got angry and drove a bus in the middle of the wedding ceremony."
According to Yadav, eight people were injured in the incident while goods worth Rs 3 lakh were damaged.
He got so furious over not getting paneer that he did the unthinkable and rammed a tempo traveller into the wedding guests. As chaos ensued, he fled the venue on the bus.
Among the injured were the groom's father and the bride's uncle. They are undergoing treatment at a trauma centre in Varanasi.
Following the incident, the groom's side vowed not to proceed with the wedding until a case was registered against the accused man. It was only after a complaint was filed by the bride's side that the wedding ceremony concluded the next day at around 12 pm.
