Actor Rohit Basfore Found Dead Near Waterfall In Assam With Injury Marks, Family Alleges Murder

Actor Rohit Basfore, who will be seen in Manoj Bajpayee's upcoming web series Family Man 3, was found dead near a waterfall in Assam’s Garbhanga forest on Sunday evening (April 27). Police confirmed that his body bore multiple injury marks.

According to a report in Odisha Bytes, officials stated that Rohit had returned to Guwahati from Mumbai a few months ago. His family members stated that he had left home around 12:30 pm on Sunday for a day trip with friends but they lost contact with him later in the evening.

Subsequently, a friend alerted the family about the incident. Relatives then contacted the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and Rohit's body was retrieved and transported to a hospital.

Reportedly, the family alleged that Rohit was murdered by four of his friends. They claimed it was a premeditated act, adding that the actor had recently been involved in a parking dispute, during which three of the accused had issued death threats. The individuals named include Ranjit Basfore, Ashok Basfore, and Dharam Basfore.

Additionally, the family accused a gym owner named Amardeep, who had reportedly invited Rohit for the outing.

“An autopsy was performed at Guwahati Medical College Hospital on Monday. Multiple injuries were discovered on the body, including wounds on his head, face, and other parts. We are investigating the case, but the four accused are on the run,” a police official said, as quoted by Odisha Bytes.
