Mega Boost For Marathwada! Devendra Fadnavis Unveils Plans For High-Tech Expo Centre, EV Cluster, And Flyovers In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

“An equipped exhibition and convention centre with the latest facilities and ample space will be established in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to facilitate industrialization,” announced Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

He was speaking during the presentation of the Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture (CMIA) Awards 2025 at MIT College on Sunday. OBC Welfare Minister Atul Save, Managing Director of Endurance Technologies Anurag Jain, CMIA President Arpit Save, Secretary Atharvesh Nandawat, CMIA former President Ram Bhogale and others were present.

Fadnavis further said the government will construct a Ring Road to connect Shendra and Bidkin industrial estates. Similarly, five acres of land will be provided for establishing an Electronic Vehicle (EV) Cluster. The government will provide the needed funds for establishing the Exhibition and Convention Centre.

The Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar–Jalna belt is the future manufacturing hub in the state. All the facilities will be provided to the centre, which will facilitate industrial development. The centre will be operated by an experienced institute. A flyover in the industrial area is also proposed with the assistance of the central government, and the state government is pursuing the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar–Chalisgaon Railway tunnel as well, Fadnavis said.

Anurag Jain said that industrial development in Marathwada will be accomplished under the leadership of Fadnavis. The global companies and new industrialists are attracted to the region due to the Shendra–Bidkin industrial estate, airport expansion, Jalna Dry Port, and Samruddhi E-way. It will develop employment opportunities, he said.

Arpit Save elaborated on the investment opportunities and direction for industrial growth in the Marathwada region through a PowerPoint presentation.

The awards were adjudicated by an eminent jury panel comprising economist and former Member of Parliament Dr. Narendra Jadhav, Padma Shri awardee and veteran industrialist Ms. Lila Poonawalla, management expert T.R. Dungaji, esteemed educationist Dr. Rukmini Banerjee, and distinguished banker Dr. Narendra Mairpadi.
