'A Wild, Untamed Force Of Nature': Mahesh Bhatt Praises Kangana Ranaut As Gangster Completes 19 Years
Kangana Ranaut on Monday completed 19 years in the industry. Her first film, Gangster, was released on April 28, 2016. While Kangana doesn't share a great rapport with the writer and the producer of the movie, Mahesh Bhatt, the filmmaker in an interview, has praised the actress. He stated that Anurag Basu's (director of Gangster) greatest miracle was discovering Kangana.
While talking to Times Of India, when Bhatt was asked about the biggest miracle of Anurag in Gangster, the filmmaker said, "His greatest miracle was discovering Kangana Ranaut - a wild, untamed force of nature. In her very first role, she rose like a phoenix, giving Gangster the wings it needed to soar."
According to Bhatt, another miracle of Anurag in the movie was the location, South Korea. He said, "And then there was South Korea — such an unexpected, beautiful choice. Cherry blossoms falling like soft rain over broken hearts; a foreign land that felt both alien and achingly familiar. It became a silent, emotional backdrop for Pritam’s music."
When Kangana Ranaut Claimed Mahesh Bhatt Threw Chappal At Her
Earlier, in an interview, Kangana Ranaut had claimed that during the premire of her movie Woh Lamhe, which was produced and written by Mahesh Bhatt, the filmmaker had thrown a chappal at her. The actress had stated that Bhatt was angry at her because she had rejected a movie in which the protagonist becomes a suicide bomber.
However, Bhatt had later stated that for him, Kangana is a 'bachchi' who started her journey with them. He had stated, "Our upbringing and culture teach us that we should not raise a finger on our children. So saying anything against our children won’t be possible. My upbringing stops me to do so. Till I die, I will never ever say anything against our child because it is against my upbringing, it is against my nature.”
