Campus notes: TechSpark-25 at Ambala College

GMN College, Ambala Cantt, hosted its flagship mega event ‘TechSpark-25’ with much enthusiasm. The event was jointly organised by the Departments of Computer Applications, Computer Science and Management, and served as a vibrant platform to celebrate technological innovation, creativity and social responsibility. The event was inaugurated by SP Chauhan, the chairman of Navchetna Manch, Karnal. Amitoj Singh, Director of Duple IT Pvt Ltd, who was the guest of honour, observed that today’s learning lays the foundation of tomorrow. He maintained that while technology holds immense potential, it must be driven by moral values, compassion and a commitment to serve the society. The event showcased a vibrant mix of technical and creative competitions, including MindMash (technical quiz), WebWeaver, DigiRang, Pixels of Responsibility, Robo Rhythm, Ghost Coding and the AdMad Show. Principal Dr Rohit Dutt said TechSpark-25 went beyond being a techno-creative event, emerging as an initiative that encouraged the students to channel innovation towards the betterment of society. He acknowledged the students as future leaders and innovators and also praised the organising team.

Conference on teachers’ education

Kurukshetra: Kurukshetra University is set to organise a two-day national conference on ‘Transformation in Teacher Education: Towards Developed India 2047′. The conference will be organised in collaboration with National Council of Teacher Education and Haryana State Higher Education Council, Panchkula, on April 28 and 29. Kurukshetra University Vice-Chancellor Prof Som Nath Sachdeva said committees have been constituted for the smooth conduct of the event. Collaborative policy reforms, continuous professional development and technology integration will be discussed to address teachers’ education challenges. The Registrar, Dr Virender Pal, will be the overall in-charge of this conference.

Fashion show at girls’ college

Yamunanagar: The Department of Clothing and Textile and Fashion Designing of Guru Nanak Girls College organised a fashion show ‘Har Pehnawa-III’, at which the students showcased their creativity and talent. The show included various rounds such as Office Wear, Evening Gown, Tie and Dye, Printed Dresses, Ethnic, Scrap, Hand-Painted Lehenga and Inspirational Dressing. The college Director, Dr Varinder Gandhi, and the officiating principal, Prof Narinder Pal Kaur, inaugurated the event. Programme coordinator Sandeep Reen explained the objectives of the event, which included helping students learn design, coordination and arrangement skills. The judges appreciated the work of students and announced Riya, Namrata, Sadiya, Ginika, Mitali, Ritika, Divya, Harshita, Sumaila, Mayank, Keerti and Isha as the best models, while Vandana, Manpreet, Anjali, Keerti, Harshdeep, Radhika, Palak, Sadiya, Sakshi, Sheetal and Nadini were declared the best designers.
