Massive Fire Engulfs Entire Bus In Madhya Pradesh's Ujjain; One Sustains Burn Injured

Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): Panic broke out Agra-Mumbai National Highway in on Madhya Pradesh's Shajapur on Sunday, when a parked commercial bus caught fire near a dhaba.

One person was said to sustain burn injuries out of over 50 passengers present in the bus. He is undergoing at present. Fortunately, no life was lost in the incident.

Later, 3 fire brigades reached the spot to control the situation.

According to information, the bus halted for few minutes for a routine breakfast and tea break. More than 50 passengers de-boarded the bus for refreshments and breakfast purpose when, within seconds the flames erupted from the vehicle.

Luggage burnt into ashes

A passenger who remained inside the bus somehow managed to escape on time. One passenger suffered minor burns in the fire.

The fire quickly escalated and the bus, along with luggage of all the passengers kept inside, completely turned into ashes.

Ravi Kushwaha, one of the passenger while recalling the traumatic experience said that " The bus stopped at the hotel, when the passengers got off for refreshment. The bus caught fire, and within five minutes everything was scorched."

Three fire brigades were deployed

Local residents attempted to control the scorch. Three fire brigades were deployed to the site. Two reached within 30 minutes, and with support from local residents and the police, the blaze was eventually brought under control.

Personnel from Shajapur Traffic Police, Lalghati Police Station, and Tarana Police Station (Ujjain district) were involved in the emergency response.
