'1,035 Minion Items In 15 Years': Aussie Woman Bags World Record For Her Yellow 'Despicable Me' Collection

How big a Minion fan are you? One Australian woman, Liesl Benecke, has taken her love for the yellow characters to the next level by collecting more than 1,000 Minions items.
Popularly called “the Minion lady”, Liesl recently bagged the Guinness World Records title for the largest Minions memorabilia collection.
Living in sunny Western Australia, she has been collecting Minions for almost 15 years.
Her collection now totals 1,035 items, and includes clothing, movie posters, plush toys, keyrings, and figurines from places like Singapore and Japan’s Universal Studios.
Liesl’s love for the yellow character is so strong, she even has a Minion-themed tattoo.
The obsession began in 2010 after she first saw the Minions while taking her daughters to watch Despicable Me.
“My daughter says I need another house for my Minions, but I love being surrounded by their bright yellow smiles — they’re my source of happiness,” Liesl shared with Guinness World Records.
