The Thiruvananthapuram International Airport in Kerala received a bomb threat on Sunday, according to reports.
Bomb disposal squads and dog squads were deployed at the airport premises and inspection are under way, the public relations officer at the airport said.
It is not clear whether the bomb threat at the airport is a hoax. In the recent days similar bomb threats were reported at various hotels in Thiruvananthapuram. No explosives were found at these locations. These included the Hilton Hotel in the state capital. Later, the threats were confirmed to be hoaxes.
Police said they are probing the source of the emails.
Email bomb threats were also received at the Kerala High Court in Kochi as well as revenue divisional offices and district collectorates in recent months. All of these were later ruled as hoaxes.
