Navy Conducts Anti-Ship Firings Amid India-Pakistan Tensions, Shares Visuals

Indian warships have demonstrated their preparedness for long-range precision strikes amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terrorist attack that killed 26. 

The Indian Navy asserted they are combat-ready to protect the nation's interests.

They shared multiple visuals of BarhMos anti-ship and anti-surface cruise missiles being fired from warships in the middle of the sea. Kolkata-class destroyers and Nilgiri and Krivak-class frigates were among the warships in the fleet. 

"Indian Navy Ships undertook successful multiple anti-ship firings to revalidate and demonstrate the readiness of platforms, systems, and crew for a long-range precision offensive strike," said the Indian Navy in a post on social media. 

"Indian Navy stands combat-ready, credible, and future-ready in safeguarding the nation's maritime interests Anytime Anywhere Anyhow," the post read further. 

The terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22 was the deadliest terror attack since the abrogation of Article 370.

PM Modi Assures Justice For Victims 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday assured that the victims of the attack will get justice and asserted that terrorists and conspirators behind the killings will be served the harshest punishment. 

Addressing the nation through his monthly radio programme, Mann Ki Baat, Modi said that the blood of every Indian is boiling by looking at the pictures of the attack.
