Not Fight, Delhi Metro Passengers Joyously Perform Karaoke During Commute; Video Goes Viral
The Delhi Metro, which often finds itself in the spotlight for unpleasant incidents like fights and public arguments, has now gone viral for a much more heartwarming reason. A recent video capturing a karaoke session inside a metro coach is gathering reactions across the internet.
The clip, shared by Reddit user Upstairs-Bit6897, shows a group of elderly men casually seated, with one man holding a karaoke kit box and another singing into a microphone while reading lyrics off his phone.
Together, they appeared to transform the coach into a cheerful karaoke lunge by tuning into the romantic classic 'Pyar Hua Ikrar Hua' from the 1955 Bollywood movie Shree 420.

The video, reportedly shot on the Yellow Line of the Delhi Metro on April 22, 2025, captured an elderly passenger dressed in off white shirt holding the karaoke mic and singing during his commute.
Titled “Delhi metro (no), karaoke stand (yes),” the post has garnered more than 800 upvotes and 70+ comments on Reddit.
The clip quickly gained traction online and evoked mixed reactions.
One user captioned it, “Just a few buddies chilling,” while another commented, “Still better than the petty fights and abuses.” Another witty remark said, “Bhai kirtan mandali ko kyu nikala fir? At least music original tha unka,” pointing to a previous incident where a group of women singing bhajans were stopped by CISF personnel.
It is still unclear if any action was taken against the karaoke singers.
