Delhi Literature Festival to blend politics, poetry & prose

Delhi’s cultural calendar is set for a major highlight as the 13th edition of the Delhi Literature Festival will unfold from May 2 to 4 at Bikaner House, Pandara Road. Under the theme ‘Delhi Writes: Voices, Visions & Verses’, this year’s festival promises an eclectic blend of political discourse, literary excellence and cultural celebration.

Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra S Shekhawat will inaugurate the festival, joined by several prominent figures, including Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Cabinet Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh, MP Bansuri Swaraj, Delhi Vidhan Sabha Speaker Vijender Gupta, Cabinet Minister for Culture and Tourism Kapil Mishra, NDMC Chairman Keshav Chandra and Tim Curtis, director and representative, UNESCO India.

Key highlights include a special panel on ‘Demography, Dialogue & Development’ to be delivered by Bansuri Swaraj and a fireside chat on ‘Flowing Through Time: Healing the Yamuna’, featuring Deputy CM Parvesh Sahib Singh. Political commentator and author Anand Ranganathan will also lead a candid session titled ‘Unscripted, Unapologetic, Unfiltered’. — TNS
