J&K Agriculture Minister urges CM to ensure safety of Kashmiris in Himachal
Agriculture Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Javid Ahmed Dar today called on Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu here today. Ministers of Jammu and Kashmir are visiting various parts of the country in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack. He urged the Chief Minister to ensure the safety and security of students and Kashmiri people working in Himachal Pradesh though nothing untoward had happened till now.
Dar said that the entire humanity in one voice had condemned the ghastly attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam. “People in Kashmir have condemned the attack and they stand in solidarity with the people of the country. They want the culprits to be punished,” he added.
He said, “Terrorism has no religion and the people of Pahalgam had extended all possible help to tourists, who also acknowledged it.” He added Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had already spoken to the Himachal Chief Minister and so far, Kashmiri people had not faced any backlash anywhere in the state.
Sukhu said, “The people of Himachal Pradesh are peace-loving and deeply committed to the values of brotherhood and harmony.” He assured Dar that his government would take necessary measures to ensure the safety and protection of Kashmiris residing in Himachal Pradesh.
