JJP to revamp party structure, key office-bearers soon

The Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) has accelerated the process of internal restructuring and decided to announce its key office-bearers, including district presidents, with a renewed focus on strengthening its organisational structure.

At a state-level meeting of the JJP in Jhajjar on Saturday, its national president Ajay Singh Chautala, former Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala and several other senior leaders held discussions with newly appointed district incharges and reviewed organisational feedback.

During the meeting, the JJP condemned the recent terror attack at Pahalgam and demanded that the Central government take stringent action to eliminate terrorism. The party also urged the Haryana Government to provide adequate and timely compensation to farmers affected by rain, hailstorm, and fire-related incidents.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Ajay Chautala said the party would assign important responsibilities to its dedicated members who would work on the ground to strengthen the organisation.

He said individuals aligned with Devi Lal’s ideology—both former associates and new supporters from rural and urban areas—would be brought into the party fold. “The JJP will build a strong grassroots presence across the state by leveraging the energy of the youth and the experience of senior leaders, and will continue to be the voice of the people,” he said.

He further stated that the JJP was the only viable alternative capable of reviving Devi Lal’s ideology and working in the public interest. He criticised the BJP government, claiming that all sections of society were dissatisfied with its policies.

“The Chief Minister makes big announcements every day, but nothing concrete has been done on the ground. The BJP government is violating its promises by terminating HKRN employees and creating hurdles in the procurement and payment process for farmers in grain markets. The government is delaying compensation to affected farmers,” he alleged.

Taking a jibe at the Congress, Ajay remarked that the Congress used to change its Haryana incharge every day and had no real organisational strength, being limited to internal conflicts.
