Meet actor who gave 11 back-to-back hits after his debut, wanted to become wrestler but…, faced boycott, is son of famous…, his name is…

A pre-conceived notion that often exists in the Bollywood industry is that if an actor is born into a family of actors, they will often get privileged as compared to others. Also, another thought process that remains is that the actor might not deliver power-packed performances. However, what if we tell you that the actor we are discussing is one of them who, after his debut, gave 11 back-to-back hits, and many of them even earned Rs 100 crore? Yes, you read that right! This actor in discussion is none other than Varun Dhawan.

Varun, who is the son of famous director David Dhawan, made his debut in the year 2012 with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt. His debut film was a huge hit and it established the name of all three actors, as Student of the Year was also the debut for Alia and Sidharth.

After his first film, Varun gave 11 consecutive hit films in the first 6 years of his career, including Main Tera Hero (2014), Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014), Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017), Dilwale (2015), Dishoom (2016), Judwaa 2 (2017), ABCD 2 (2015), and Sui Dhaaga (2018). There was a time when Varun was compared to Rajesh Khanna, who had given 17 consecutive hit films in his career.

However, it was after Kalank that Varun’s career took a backseat. Kalank turned out to be a commercial failure, and the ongoing nepotism debate impacted him. After giving 11 back-to-back hits, four out of Varun’s last six films have been super flops. Dhawan also faced boycott mainly because of the nepotism debate that gained massive momentum after the tragic death of Sushant Singh Rajput in 2020.

Do you know that during childhood, Varun wanted to be a wrestler? However, he did not pursue the field but became an actor.
