Grit, determination and perseverance helps one pave way to success. For Sankalp Gaur, it was always about being consistent and keeping his eye on the target he set for himself. This is the success story of JEE topper Sankalp Gaur who hails from Maharashtra who made his parents proud cracking one examination at a time.

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is one of the toughest exams in India. Gaur topped his JEE Mains and aced his subsequent exams too.

JEE Topper Sankalp Gaur Success Story

Sankalp Gaur hails from Pune in Maharashtra. HE studies at DAV Public School and boasts of a track record of excellence in academic. He obtained 97.80 per cent in his 12th grade from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).Next, he appeared for JEE Mains in 2015 and secured an All India rank (AIR) of 1. Later came out of flying colours in JEE Advanced when he got an AIR f 56.

Post completing and cracking the exams he got enrolled in Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay that is ranked as one of the prestigious colleges in India. Reportedly, his father worked as  DGM at the Arms and Ammunition Factory in Khadki, Pune, while his mother was employed at the High Energy Materials Research Laboratory (HEMRL). His mother later left her job to help her son and support him during the crucial phase in his life. Gaur credits his success to her.

After completing his graduation he pursued a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics from University of Colorado, Boulder. Her LinkedIn profile reads, “I am a PhD candidate in physics at University of Colorado, Boulder. My research is in theoretical condensed matter physics. I have strong problem-solving and programming skills. I am looking for post-doctoral research positions and job opportunities related to quantitative analysis, data science, software engineering and scientific problem solving.” (sic)

A boy from Pune now is a proud researcher and researcher in USA working hard everyday to reduce the distance between him and his dreams.
