Pune Viral Video: Blinkit Delivery Boys Caught Riding On Wrong Side Of The Road, Netizens Ask CEO Albinder Dhindsa, 'Is This How Deliveries Are Done In 10 Minutes?'

The rapid rise of quick commerce services has put immense strain on delivery boys, often forcing them to flout traffic rules. In Pune, these delivery boys are frequently seen riding without helmets, without number plates, speeding recklessly, and violating multiple traffic regulations.

Recently, an X (formerly Twitter) user shared a video of Blinkit delivery boys riding on the wrong side of the road to deliver products quickly. "@letsblinkit, see how things are delivered in 10 minutes. @PuneCityTraffic @PuneCityPolice @CPPuneCity @DGPMaharashtra @CMOMaharashtra @Dev_Fadnavis should ban this 10-minute delivery. What's wrong if it’s delivered in one hour? It’s not just Blinkit—delivery boys of all companies regularly flout traffic rules," the user wrote.

In another post, he shared a picture of another Blinkit delivery boy on Magarpatta Road violating three traffic rules at once—riding on the wrong side of the road, riding without a helmet, and riding without a number plate. "This is just a photo capture from when I was going through this area. Imagine how many violations would occur in one full day?" he wrote.

Commenting on the user's post, Blinkit said it does not "encourage any kind of traffic violations." "We do not condone any traffic violation and are extremely sorry about the issue," the company added.

Meanwhile, several users tagged Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa and asked him to address the issue.

A user commented, "@albinder, so this is how 10-minute deliveries are done? What about safety and traffic rules?"

"Not just Blinkit, I have seen pizza delivery guys, other food app delivery guys etc., driving recklessly to deliver the food/grocery as quickly as possible," another user stated.

"Heavy fines and traffic rules enforcement by the Pune traffic police can check this menace," a third user said.
