Over 470 turtles of rare species seized while being smuggled in Odisha

Over 470 rare turtles were seized by Odisha forest officials near Malkangiri, with reports linking the illegal trade to Andhra Pradesh. A racket is allegedly involved in the rampant smuggling activity. Each turtle is sold in the district at nearly Rs 1,000.
