Bollywood actor Vikrant Massey is reportedly set to step into the shoes of spiritual leader Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in an upcoming film titled White. The film is said to be backed by producers Siddharth Anand and Mahaveer Jain. Although an official announcement from the makers is still awaited, buzz around the project has already begun creating a stir on social media. Fans and netizens are expressing excitement and curiosity after several reports about the film surfaced online.
If confirmed, White will mark a significant milestone in Vikrant's career, as he takes on the role of portraying a globally renowned spiritual figure known for promoting peace, meditation, and humanitarian work.
Plot of the film
According to a report in Pinkvilla, White is set against the backdrop of a story of how Colombia's 52-year-long civil war was resolved by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
"This is a largely untold chapter of modern peace-building. With White, Siddharth Anand and Mahaveer Jain intend to seek spotlight on how ancient Indian wisdom played a pivotal role in resolving one of history’s longest-running conflicts. The film brings lesser known story of peace and humanity on the big screen," a source informed the news portal.
Cast and crew
It has also been reported that pre-production for the upcoming film is progressing rapidly. Vikrant has officially been signed to portray the spiritual leader in what is being described as a global thriller.
"Vikrant Massey will be seen portraying Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in this international film, which is set to begin shooting in July. Preparations are currently underway in Colombia, and the makers are planning to bring on board an international cast and crew from Los Angeles to authentically depict key events from Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s life," the source added.
Vikrant will reportedly undergo a transformation for his part in White and the actor has already started preparing for the role.
The film will be produced in Hindi, English, and Spanish and it is all set to roll from July 2025 and hit the big screen in 2026.
