The next day is Parshuram Jayanti on 29th April and on this day banks will remain closed in Himachal Pradesh as per RBI’s calendar. This festival holds a lot of importance in Himachal Pradesh. On this day only Himachal Pradesh banks will remain closed, while banks are expected to remain open in other states.
Basava Jayanti and Akshaya Tritiya
On 30th April, banks will remain closed in Karnataka due to Basava Jayanti and Akshaya Tritiya. Basava Jayanti is a big festival in Karnataka. Buying gold on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya is considered auspicious. All banks in Karnataka will remain closed on this day, but banks in other states will continue to function normally.
