Thailand: Small Plane With 6 Onboard Crashes Into Sea, 5 Dead (VIDEO)

Bangkok: A plane crashed in Thailand on Friday, resulting in the death of five people on board. Meanwhile, one person was reportedly injured in the crash. The incident took place off the Cha AM Beach in Phetchaburi province, reported the Thai news website Bangkok Post.

As per the media house, the plane was a DHC-6-400 Twin Otter aircraft. The tragedy was captured on camera. A video of the tragic incident also surfaced online. The Royal Thai Police aircraft crashed into the sea near Hua Hin airport, claimed reports.

The incident took place at around 8:15 am (local time). The cause of the crash is still not known.

After receiving the information, authorities rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation. The small aircraft plunged into the Gulf of Thailand due to some technical glitch. The exact reason for the crash is still not known.

Among the deceased were Pol Col Prathan Khiewkham, Pol Lt Col Panthep Maneewachirangkul, Pol Capt Chaturawong Wattanapaisarn, Pol Lt Thanawat Mekprasert, Pol L/Cpl Jeerawat Maksakha and Pol Sgt Maj Prawat Pholhongsa, reported ABP news.

Mekprasert was the aircraft engineer, while Maksakha and Pholhongsa were aircraft mechanics.
