Farmer Dies After Speeding Bus Hits Bike On Indore-Betul Highway; Locals Block Roads In Protest
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A farmer died after a speeding bus hit his motorcycle on the Indore-Betul Highway on Friday.
The accident occurred near Dulwa Fata, an area known for frequent accidents.
According to information, a speeding bus hit the farmer’s motorcycle, killing him on the spot.
The victim was Mangilal Malya, a resident of Malsagoda village. He was on his way to attend a program in Bichhola village in Harda district when the accident happened.
After the incident, a large crowd gathered at the spot. Angry locals blocked the road and demanded action.
Police officers reached the area with force and managed to calm the people and clear the road.
Eyewitnesses said that the bus was coming from Harda and going toward Indore when the accident happened. According to them, the bus was moving at a very high speed, and there was no attempt to slow down.
Local people shared their concerns with the police. They said that fast-moving vehicles are not being checked properly on the highway. There are no regular speed checks or proper control over traffic, especially in accident-prone areas like this one.
They also said that the traffic department, transport department, and the police are not doing enough to stop such accidents. Because of this, many innocent people are losing their lives on the road. People demanded strict action and better safety measures.
The police at Nemawar station have now filed a case against the bus driver. They have also started an investigation to find out what exactly happened and who is responsible.
