Motorola’s Razr 60 Series Debuts With Bold Design, Bigger Displays, AI Power: Detailed Specs Here

Motorola has taken the wraps off its new generation of flip-style foldables – the Razr 60 Ultra and Razr 60 – packed with cutting-edge hardware, AI smarts, and some serious upgrades in design and durability. While the official launch date for India remains under wraps, both devices are set to follow in the footsteps of the Razr 50 series and aim to raise the bar for foldable smartphones.

AI Takes Centre Stage With Moto AI

At the heart of the Razr 60 lineup lies Moto AI, a suite of artificial intelligence features built to make multitasking more intuitive. Motorola says: “Next Move recognises what’s on the screen, like a recipe or trip itinerary, and offers suggestions for next steps.” These include creating custom playlists via Playlist Studio, generating travel-inspired avatars or wallpapers, and even syncing content to larger displays with a simple voice or text prompt.

Gemini and Gemini Live, accessible via the external screen, bring creative tools and planning assistance right to users’ fingertips. The Razr 60 Ultra goes a step further with a dedicated “AI Key” and Look and Talk feature, allowing users to activate Moto AI hands-free with just a glance.

Design That Flips Expectations

Motorola isn’t just relying on smarts—the Razr 60 Ultra brings a splash of style and toughness to the flip-phone scene. It features a 7.0-inch pOLED Super HD display with 20% slimmer bezels, and is the first flip phone to sport a Pantone Validated screen for color accuracy that pops. The external 4-inch display is also a standout, protected by Gorilla Glass Ceramic, and claimed to have 10 times better drop performance than previous Razrs.

Motorola says: “With 20 per cent narrower bezels, users can flip open the Razr 60 Ultra and enjoy a 7.0-inch pOLED display that brings videos and games to life in Super HD.”

Build-wise, both models are reinforced with a titanium hinge plate, said to be four times stronger than surgical-grade steel. The screens use Ultra Thin Glass, which Motorola claims offers 30% smoother performance than before. And with an IP48 rating, these phones can withstand water submersion up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.

The Razr 60 Ultra also offers luxe finishes including Alcantara, real wood, and leather-like textures, with color options ranging from Gibraltar Sea to Parfait Pink.

Camera And Battery Get a Big Boost

In the imaging department, the Razr 60 Ultra features a dual 50MP camera setup, with Dolby Vision support for content capture and Dolby Atmos for sound. The regular Razr 60 houses a 50MP main sensor and a 13MP ultra-wide lens, aiming to offer flagship performance at a more accessible price.

Power won’t be an issue either. The Razr 60 Ultra packs a 4,700 mAh battery, boasting over 36 hours of usage and support for 68W TurboPower fast charging, promising a full day’s power in just eight minutes. It also includes 30W wireless and reverse charging. The Razr 60 settles for a 4,500 mAh battery, still offering solid endurance and 30W wired plus 15W wireless charging.

Under the Hood: Snapdragon vs Dimensity

The Razr 60 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite platform, which includes a dedicated AI engine for performance gains, while the standard Razr 60 uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7400X. Both phones run on Android 15 out of the box.

From next-gen AI to foldable finesse, Motorola’s latest Razr duo makes a bold claim in the increasingly competitive flip-phone space. Now, all eyes are on the India launch date.
