Bundelkhand Express & Khajuraho–Udaipur City Express To Stop At MP's Orchha Railway Station
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh’s famous tourist destination Orchha received a major gift of connectivity on Thursday, after which Bundelkhand Express and Khajuraho–Udaipur City Express will now have a stoppage at Orchha Railway Station.
The decision came on Thursday, after Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia requested Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for the same.
After the Railway Ministry approved the request, Scindia expressed his heartfelt thanks to the Railway Minister through his official X handle.

Scindia thanks Railway Minister
In his social media post, Jyotiraditya Scindia wrote, “Heartfelt thanks to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for approving my request to provide a stoppage for Bundelkhand Express and Khajuraho-Udaipur City Express at Orchha, located in Madhya Pradesh’s Niwari district. This will help more tourists come and experience the unique art, architecture, and culture of Orchha. It will also boost local employment and drive regional development.”
This development is expected to make travel easier for tourists visiting Orchha and also benefit the people of the Bundelkhand region.
The demand for these train stoppages had been pending for a long time, as both trains pass through Orchha but did not stop there until now. Local residents had also written letters to Scindia requesting this facility.
Orchha MP’s Ayodhya
Orchha is often referred to as the “Ayodhya of Madhya Pradesh” because of the grand Ram Raja Temple. The town also features the Hardol Temple and many beautiful palaces, making it one of the top tourist destinations in the state. With these new train stoppages, tourists will now find it easier to visit the town, and passengers will benefit from better travel options.
