Odisha Govt Approves Renewable Energy Projects worth Rs 1191.47 Crore

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government on Thursday approved seven renewable energy projects worth Rs 1191.47 crore under the Odisha Renewable Energy Policy-2022.

The projects have been approved at the Single Window Committee (SWC) meeting chaired by Energy Secretary Vishal Kumar Dev.

The projects, with a combined capacity of 149.97 MW, include two wind power projects (95.7 MW), four ground-based solar projects (53.97 MW), and the state’s first battery storage project (0.6 MWh).

These initiatives aim to bolster Odisha’s sustainable energy infrastructure and support its renewable energy goals.

To date, the SWC has approved investments worth ₹12,387.36 crore for 1,707.56 MW in the renewable energy sector.
