'Picture Abhi Baaki Hai': Tahira Kashyap Resumes Work Amid Breast Cancer Relapse Treatment, Introduces Her '3.0 Version'

Filmmaker and author Tahira Kashyap announced on Thursday (April 24) that she has resumed work amid her breast cancer relapse treatment. Earlier this month, Tahira announced that her cancer relapsed. She was first diagnosed with Stage 0 breast cancer in 2018 and underwent a mastectomy.

Sharing the update on Instagram, Tahira also expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the universe and God for allowing her the opportunity to grow into a 'better version' of herself. She shared a picture of herself beside a laptop, its screen glowing with a life update written in a cinematic format.

The message on her screen read, "INTERVAL - INT/EXT DAY UNIVERSE... After a brief interim this woman in question holds her laptop to write another script one more time. With gratitude in her heart, prayer on her lips and a smile beaming through her eyes she mumbles - ME Thank you universe, thank you God for all the challenges and all the blessings."

The text further read, "Had it not been for these obstacles I wouldn't have acknowledged your love. Thank you for giving me another opportunity to become better version of myself. And so here's to Tahira 3.0 version! Back to the grind, back to the hustle, back to life and so glad to be back at work! Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost :) TO BE CONTD."

Soon after Tahira shared the update, several celebrities, including her actor-husband Ayushmann Khurrana, and Saiyami Kher, Bhumi Pednekar, Nakuul Mehta, Divya Dutta, Aparshakti Khurana, Guneet Monga, Sonali Bendre, and others, dropped heart emoticons in the comments section.

On April 7, Tahira had posted on Instagram, "Seven year itch or the power of regular screening — it’s a perspective. I’d like to go with the latter and suggest the same for everyone who needs to get regular mammograms. Round 2 for me… I still got this."

Tahira added her signature wit to the caption. She mentioned, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. But when life becomes too generous and throws them at you again, you squeeze them calmly into your favourite kala khatta drink and sip it with all the good intentions."

She continued, "Because for one, it’s a better drink, and two, you know you’ll give it your best once again. #RegularScreening #Mammogram #NotShyingAway #BreastCancer #OneMoreTime #LetsGo. Ironically or not, today is #WorldHealthDay. Let’s do whatever we can in our capacity to take care of ourselves. #Gratitude through and through."

She has been regularly sharing updates about her health on social media.
