India Vs Pakistan: India’s Brahmos, Agni against Pakistan’s Shaheen and Ghauri, whose missiles are more powerful, know all details here

New Delhi: Coward-Pakistan-backed terrorists opened fire at innocent visitors in one the most popular tourist spots in Kashmir’s Pahalgam town on Tuesday afternoon, killing 20 people. This attack is being called the deadliest in the Valley since the Pulwama attack in 2019 where 40 security personnel were killed. The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba claimed responsibility for the attack on social media platforms.

According to India Today, social media platform X has seen a surge of posts featuring screenshots from the flight tracking website Flightradar24.

These screenshots appear to show Pakistan Air Force (PAF) aircraft taking off from the Southern Air Command in Karachi and heading towards northern bases near Lahore and Rawalpindi. Notably, these are the PAF’s closest airbases to the Indian border, with Rawalpindi hosting the Nur Khan Airbase.

However, Pakistan has claimed it has “got nothing to do” with the incident.  “Pakistan has no link with the Pagalgam terror attack,” said Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif.

The military competition between India and Pakistan includes the air force as one of the most crucial aspects. Both countries possess their own fighter planes and missiles, but the question is — whose missiles are more powerful on the battlefield?

India possesses state-of-the-art missiles like the K-4, K-15, Agni-3, Agni-4, Agni-5, Garun, and BrahMos, which can destroy Pakistan within minutes.

Here are some of the key features of Brahmos:

  • BrahMos can be launched from a submarine, a warship, an aircraft, or even from land.
  • BrahMos missile is a supersonic cruise missile with a strike range of up to 450 kilometers.
  • It is one of the fastest cruise missiles in the world, with a speed of Mach 2.8 to 3.0.
  • India currently possesses Russia’s S-400 defense system, which has the capability to destroy enemy missiles within their own territory.
  • In addition, India also has fighter jets like the Rafale, which have already showcased their combat prowess to the world.

Pakistan’s Military Strength:

  • Pakistan possesses the Ghauri and Shaheen missiles, which are based on North Korean technology.
  • These are considered to be less reliable and accurate compared to the BrahMos missile.
  • The Ghauri missile is a medium-range ballistic missile (MRBM) with a striking range of only up to 1,500 kilometers.
  • Shaheen missile is a long-range ballistic missile (LRBM) with a strike range of up to 2,750 kilometers, both missiles are named after Islamic warriors.
