Heads of State: Priyanka Chopra, Idris Elba and John Cena team up for fun action comedy

It's a team-up we did not see coming. Priyanka Chopra Jonas is joining Idris Elba and John Cena for an action-comedy movie titled Heads of State, slated for premiere on Prime Video on July 2. The streamer confirmed the news with a trailer.
Director Ilya Naishuller, who made the Bob Odenkirk actioner Nobody and the first-person thriller Hardcore Henry, is helming the big-scale extravaganza that will stream in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
The plot involves — wait for it — John Cena as the U.S. President and Idis Elba as the UK Prime Minister who are compelled to put aside their rivalry and join hands to save the world. Priyanka Chopra Jonas plays an MI6 agent.
As per the official logline, "The UK Prime Minister Sam Clarke (Elba) and US President Will Derringer (Cena) have a not-so-friendly and very public rivalry that jeopardizes their countries’ special relationship. But when they become the targets of a powerful and ruthless foreign adversary—who proves more than a match for the two leaders’ security forces—they are begrudgingly forced to rely on the only two people they can trust: each other."
The other cast members in Heads of State include Paddy Considine, Stephen Root, Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid and Sarah Niles.
Backed by Amazon MGM Studios, the film has a story by Harrison Query, who co-wrote the screenplay with Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec.
