27-yr-old woman found dead at East Delhi home

In a chilling incident that points to a possible case of brutal murder, the burnt body of a 27-year-old woman having four stab wounds was discovered inside her home in East Delhi’s Patparganj area on Wednesday.

The victim, identified as Priyanka, was found lying unconscious and severely burnt on the floor of a room in the house. Sharing details, a senior police officer said a PCR call was received around noon at Pandav Nagar police station, reporting smoke emanating from a house in the locality. Responding quickly, police teams reached the spot and were directed by a local resident to the house, where the victim was found.

The cops rushed the partially burnt woman to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital, where doctors declared her dead. “Apart from burn injuries, four stab wounds were found on the woman’s body during medical inspection,” the officer said.

The victim was married to a man named Arun, the police said. However, the identity of the assailant remain unclear.

A case has been registered, and multiple police teams have been formed to investigate the incident.
