BJP workers protest Pahalgam attack
The city BJP today burnt an effigy of Pakistan, condemning the yesterday’s terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, claiming at least 26 lives.
Led by state president of the party Jatinder Pal Malhotra, party workers raised “Pakistan Murdabad” slogans and strongly opposed the terrorist activities allegedly sponsored by the neighbouring nation.
Malhotra said, “India will not tolerate any attack on its sovereignty and security. Pakistan must stop its terror activities. This protest is a symbol of our commitment to national security.”
City BJP vice-president Rambeer Bhatti said, “The security of our country comes first. Through this protest, we want to send a clear message that any attack on India’s unity and integrity will not be tolerated.” Malhotra said, “The incident in Srinagar is tragic. We stand with the families of the victims.”
Davinder Singh, Shakti Prakash Daivshali, Jagtar Singh Jaga, former Mayor Arun Sood and several senior leaders and workers of the party, along with city residents, participated in the protest.
Cowardly act: BJP leader
City BJP vice-president Shakti Prakash Devshali strongly condemned the killing of Hindus by terrorists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, terming it a cowardly and unforgivable act. He offered condolences to the families of the terror attack victims and wished for the speedy recovery of those injured in the incident.
