Pahalgam terrorist attack: In a significant update in the aftermath of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, reports have it that digital evidence of the terrorist attack are likely linked to Pakistan. As per media reports, Indian intelligence agencies have said that the digital footprints of the suspected terrorists of the Pahalgam attack point out towards safe houses in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir’s Muzaffarabad and Pakistan’s Karachi. In the shocking update from Kashmir’s Pahalgam, twenty-six people died in a terrorist attack on Tuesday. As a result of the attack, the security agencies of India have issued a high alert across India. In the process of reaching to the actual culprit behind the attack, the Indian intelligence agencies have identified that the terrorists were getting logistical support and cooperation from outside. They have found that the terrorist used advanced category communication equipment and were highly trained.

Rajnath Singh chairs high-level meeting

In the aftermath of the Kashmir terror attack that left 26 people dead, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reviewed the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. As per a report carried by news agency PTI, nearly two-and-a-half-hour meeting was attended by NSA Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff Gen Anil Chauhan, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi and Air Chief Marshal AK Singh.

Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh and Director General of Military Operations Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai too joined the meeting, the report said.

The meeting discussed all possible aspects of the situation that emerged following the dastardly attack, the sources said declining to share further details. It is learnt that Singh directed the armed forces to enhance their combat readiness and increase intensity of anti-terror operations.
