Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim trolled for plugging new vlog amid Pahalgam attack

Jammu and Kashmir witnessed its most terrifying terror attacks since the 2019 Pulwama tragedy yesterday afternoon. Claiming 26 lives and injuring 17, the terrorist attack at Pahalgam’s Baisaran Valley was orchestrated by Lashkar-e-Taiba’s The Resistance Front who sprayed bullets at a close range.
Many celebrities, including Mohanlal, Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Sonam Kapoor, condemned the attack and called for strict action to be taken against the perpetrators.
Television actor couple Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim had shared photos of themselves and their son, Ruhaan, vacationing at Pahalgam a few days before the attack which raised concern among fans about their safety. Rest assured, the family was unharmed. Shoaib confirmed via Instagram that they had left Pahalgam on Tuesday morning and landed in Delhi. He wrote: “Hi guys, U all have been concerned for our wellbeing... Hum sab safe hain theek. Ajj hi morning me we left Kashmir... (We all are safe, we left Kashmir this morning), and have reached Delhi safely... thank you all for the concern... New vlog coming soon.”
In their most recent Instagram post, one user commented, “All you could say was “Yes, we’re safe, new vlog coming soon”? Not a single word for the victims. No mention. No empathy. No respect. Just self-promotion. This is the problem with influencers today—more worried about their “aesthetic reels” than the reality around them.” Another wrote, “Shame on you @shoaib2087 When the whole country is crying, praying for them, and you’re saying ‘new vlog is coming soon’ you should be ashamed of yourself, not just as an Indian, but at least as a human being.”
Though neither Shoaib, nor Dipika, directly addressed the criticism, they both shared a post on their story with the sketches of the terrorists, captioned, “Find them, Hang them!”
