'Sad & Heartbroken': Ex-Pakistan Cricketer Condemns Pahalgam Terror Attack With His Tweet On X
Ex-Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Hafeez has come forward to condemn the terrorist attack that took place in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir. Hafeez, who featured for Pakistan for 392 games across formats, posted the words 'Sad & Heartbroken' to grieve the tragedy, resulting in several loss of lives in the region, leaving the nation in mourning.
One of the most deadliest attacks in the region since the Pulwama incident in 2019, at least 28 tourists lost their lives, while over 20 have sustained serious injuries. A father-son duo, belonging to Gujarat, are also included in the deceased list as an unidentified gunmen opened fire. India's Home Minister Amit Shah condemned the attack, pledging that they will not bend to terror and the perpetrators will suffer severe punishment.

A long list of former and current Indian cricketers, including Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, Mohammed Siraj, Mohammed Shami, Mithali Raj, Smriti Mandhana, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya and Rohit Sharma have posted messages, expressing their anguish.
MI and SRH players to wear black armbands to condemn terrorist attack
Meanwhile, Wednesday's IPL 2025 game between the Mumbai Indians and SunRisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium will see both sides' players and umpires wearing black armbands to condemn the terror attack in Pahalgam.
At the same time, a minute's silence will be observed and there will be no cheerleaders and fireworks to give respect to those affected by the tragedy.
