Electricity Department Action: In Mainpuri, the electricity department has decided to take strict action against defaulters of more than Rs 20,000. Dakshinchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (DVVNL) has ordered to uproot the meters. Consumers are being given a final warning after which connections will be disconnected if payment is not made. Superintending Engineer Ravi Pratap informed about the formation of a disconnection team.
Electricity Department Action: Now the government has also prepared to take action against the defaulters. The office of Managing Director Dakshinchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (DVVNL) has given instructions to uproot the meters of defaulters who have dues of more than Rs 20,000.
Teams are being formed for action at the local level. Consumers are not interested in paying the amount after consuming electricity. There are more than one lakh consumers who have dues of Rs 50,000 or more. Despite repeated requests, no seriousness is shown from their level. In view of the increasing consumption in summer, now the government has given instructions to take action against such defaulters.
Superintending Engineer Ravi Pratap says that separate disconnection teams will be formed for all three distribution blocks at the local level. These teams will work as per the instructions of the Executive Engineer. All defaulters will be given a last chance. If they still do not deposit the amount, their meters will be uprooted along with cutting the connection.
If negligence is found, service will be terminated
Services of the reader doing table and store billing will be terminated. If use of electricity is detected despite disconnection in the past, the service of the contract worker will also be terminated in case of electricity theft.

- 1784 consumers are in distribution section I, on whom 10 thousand to 50 thousand rupees are due.
- 40281 consumers are included in distribution section II.
- 39139 consumers are included in distribution section III.
