Pratik Gandhi began his acting journey with the English-Language film Yours Emotionally in 2006. However, it was in 2007 that he made he notable entry into Bollywood with the film 68 Pages. Over the next few years, he made a mark for himself in Gujarati cinema, becoming a prominent name in Dhollywood. His appearance in the 2018 film Loveyatri proved to be a turning point, opening up more opportunities for him in the industry.

In 2020, Pratik’s acting career took a giant leap with Hansal Mehta’s web show, Scam 1992. His performance was widely appreciated by audience and critics alike. Some of his most memorable work to date include Dhoom Dhaam, Madgaon Express, Agni, The Great Indian Murder, Modern Love Mumbai, Ghamasaan, Do Aur Do Pyar, Vitthal Teedi, Love Ni Bhavai, Ventilator, Bey Yaar, and many more.

Not many know that Pratik before becoming an actor, used to work for Indian Billionaire, Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Infrastructure. In 2016, he left a high-paying corporate job to pursue acting. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Pratik revealed that his family suffered a major financial crisis after he quit his job. “When I resigned in 2016, just a few weeks ahead of Wrong Side Raju’s release, my package was Rs. 25 lakh CTC/annum. I left it thinking I don’t know what will happen, but whatever happens, we will see. Then my dad’s cancer treatment was also going on, we also had a young child at home. But thought something will work out somehow.” Pratik shared.

In 2012-13, he faced another heartbreak when his wife Bhamini Oza was diagnosed with a brain tumour. To take care of his wife’s health, he lost out a lead role in the famous TV show, Ek Doosre Se Karte Hain Pyaar Hum. He stood as a pillar of support in his wife’s tough time. She won the battle against tumour following surgery. Pratik married Bhamini Oza in 2009 and welcomed a baby girl- Miraya in their lives in 2014.

Meanwhile, the actor is currently making headlines for his highly-anticipated release Phule. The film has been engrossed in controversy over its content. It was earlier scheduled for a release on April 11, but now received a fresh release date of 25th April, 2025.
