Congress launches organisational revamp in Delhi

To strengthen the party at the grassroots level, the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) on Tuesday held a key meeting with newly-appointed parliament and district observers, along with district presidents, under the All India Congress Committee’s (AICC) flagship ‘Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan’.

DPCC president Devender Yadav said the initiative was aimed at restructuring Congress committees at the district, block and booth levels. Observers have been tasked with reviewing the activities of local units, gathering feedback and submitting detailed reports within a month on strengthening party functioning. A roadmap for reorganisation, monthly meetings and formation of new teams at the block and district levels was outlined. Reports of such meetings are to be submitted to the DPCC office within 3-5 days.
