Congress Demands Fair Probe In Land Acquisition Case In Jabalpur
Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): Congress has demanded for a fair investigation into a case of acquiring land through bogus documents showing heirs of deceased person in which one of the accused is city youth Congress’s former president Jitin Raj.
In this connection, the group of Congress Corporators met the additional superintendent of police and urged for fair investigation into the case.
Leader of Opposition (Jabalpur Municipal Corporation) Amrish Mishra claimed Jitin Raj was falsely implicated in a fraud case registered in Omti Police Station.
Jitin was made accused in the case on alleged statement of fraudster Shubham for committing the crime at the behest of three individuals including Jitin during interrogation, he further claimed.
There is no direct or indirect connection between the arrested individual and Jitin, the Congress corporator said. The Congress party has demanded a serious investigation into the matter to ensure that no innocent person is implicated.
Police are investigating a land scam involving Congress leader Jitin Raj, part of a gang accused of using fake documents and false heirs to illegally acquire valuable land of Jabalpur Development Authority (JDA).
