Traffic Rule: Now constables will not issue challans, traffic police has changed many rules
To improve the traffic system in Ghaziabad, Police Commissioner J Ravindra Gaud has issued important orders. Now only traffic inspectors will issue challans for violating traffic rules, not constables. Traffic police will take strict action against those who encroach on intersections and main roads and will submit a report in the court. It will be mandatory to give prior information about events to be held in hotels and banquet halls.
Traffic Rule: Police Commissioner J Ravindra Gaur has given several orders to the traffic police to improve the traffic system. Now constables will not issue challans for violating traffic rules. Only traffic inspectors or constables will be able to issue challans.
Constables will do this work
Constables will have to maintain the traffic system during duty. Traffic police will file a case against those who encroach on intersections or main roads and submit a report in the court.
The Police Commissioner held a meeting with traffic personnel in the police line on Sunday night. In the meeting, he gave necessary instructions to improve the traffic system. The Commissioner has given clear instructions that now traffic constables or head constables will not take action for challan.
On an average, 1.5 lakh challans are issued every month
Traffic police issues an average of 1.5 lakh challans every month for violating traffic rules. In the meeting, the Police Commissioner directed that action will be taken against those who encroach on government roads and public places by putting up shops, carts, e-rickshaws.
This action will be taken by the Traffic Police under Section 152 of the Indian Civil Security Code and by filling the challan report and taking photographs, it will be sent to the Assistant Police Commissioner, Court for legal action.
In the meeting, the Police Commissioner said that all the traffic inspectors will send the report to the concerned Assistant Police Commissioner, Court through the traffic sub-inspector in their respective areas along with the challan report and by taking photographs of the encroached road and place.
Prior information of events in hotels and banquet halls is necessary
During the meeting, the Police Commissioner said that it will be necessary to give prior information to the traffic police about big events to be held in all hotels, banquet halls and farm houses. So that the traffic police can make arrangements.
The operators of the event venue will have to inform the ADCP Traffic about this on mail. Soon a meeting will be held with the event venue management and they will be informed about this. For the programme, inform on the link traffic.gz@up.gov.in.
