Sanju Samson’s RR respond to ‘match fixing’ allegations in middle of IPL 2025, register complaint with…
New Delhi: Rajasthan Royals’ IPL 2025 season is struggling. With six losses in eight matches, they are currently eighth in the standings. Recent losses to Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants, both from positions of strength, have compounded their difficulties. These setbacks are further complicated by match-fixing accusations leveled by Jaideep Bihani of the Rajasthan Cricket Association, following their narrow defeat to Lucknow Super Giants. The Royals have issued a statement addressing these allegations.
Rajasthan Royals official Deep Roy dismissed allegations made by BJP MLA Manish Bihani as unfounded and unsubstantiated, according to a report by IANS. The Royals have formally requested Rajasthan’s Chief Minister, Sports Minister, and Sports Secretary to take strong action against Bihani.
Rajasthan Royals issued a statement refuting allegations made by the ad hoc committee convener. The team considers these public statements inaccurate and damaging to the reputations of Rajasthan Royals, Royal Multi Sport Private Limited, the Rajasthan Sports Council, and the BCCI, further undermining the sport’s integrity.
‘Rajasthan Sports Council Conspiring Against Sports Interests’
The Rajasthan Royals (RR) and the Rajasthan Sports Council collaborate to ensure smooth IPL matches at Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium, as per BCCI regulations granting the Council hosting rights for IPL games, while the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) manages other matches.
Jaideep Vihani criticized the Sports Council, alleging a conspiracy to undermine Rajasthan’s involvement in hosting IPL matches by disbanding the state government’s ad-hoc committee. He further claimed the council failed to provide the committee members with official accreditation.
Rajasthan Royals appeared to be in complete control of their chase against LSG until the 17th over. However, the tide dramatically turned when LSG bowlers began executing pinpoint yorkers, making it increasingly difficult for the batters to score. This sudden shift led to a shocking 2-run defeat for Rajasthan from a seemingly winning position.
