MP April 22 Weather Updates: Intense Heat Wave Grips State, IMD Issues Alert As Mercury Breaches 44°C In Sidhi, Satna

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The state is witnessing a severe heat wave with temperature soaring across several districts. The meteorological department issued a heat wave alert for multiple regions across the state for next three days.

On Monday, Sidhi experienced the maximum temperature for the second consecutive day with soaring 44.6 °C, while Satna recorded 43.6°C followed closely by 43.5 °C in Tikamgarh, 43.2 °C in Naugaon. A total of 27 districts recorded soaring temperature above 40 °C or above.

Districts including Alirajpur, Barwani, Shivpuri, Bhind, Datia, Niwari, Tikamgarh Sidhi and Singrauli might experience scorching temperatures. Parts of Bhopal, Ujjain, Sagar and Jabalpur also might face intense heat wave.

Major cities are also experiencing extreme heat where Gwalior being the hottest city recorded 41.9°C, Jabalpur recorder 40.7°C followed by Bhopal with 40.1 °C, Ujjain 40°C and Indore recorded 39.6 °C

Eastern part of the state to face extreme heat

According to a senior weatherman loo like situation and clear skies are causing a consistent surge in temperature. The western and northern parts have been affected by intense heat so far, but now the heat has become intense in the eastern part of the state as well.

April 22: There is a possible heat wave alert in Neemuch, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Agar-Malwa, Rajgarh, Guna, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Sheopur, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Panna and Sidhi. There will also be intense heat in other districts of Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain and Gwalior divisions.

April 23: The effect of intense heat will continue. Heat wave conditions may prevail in Ratlam, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Agar-Malwa, Rajgarh, Guna, Sheopur, Ashoknagar, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Panna and Sidhi.

April 24: Heat wave conditions may prevail in Sheopur, Shivpuri, Guna, Ashoknagar, Rajgarh, Agar-Malwa, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Ratlam, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Panna and Sidhi. Other districts will also remain hot.
