$3,000 cash, access badge: How Homeland Security chief Kristi Noem’s purse was stolen

A purse belonging to US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem was stolen during a family dinner at a restaurant in Washington, DC. The stolen items included Noem’s driver’s licence, prescription medication, keys, passport, DHS badge, chequebook, makeup kit, and around $3,000 in cash (over Rs 2.5 lakh). The Secret Service, which is responsible for her protection, has now launched an investigation to track any transactions linked to her financial details
