PHOTOS: Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde Plants Avocado In His Dare Village Farm
Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is currently staying in his native village of Dare in Satara district, where he has farmland inherited from his ancestors. Every year, he plants at least one new tree in that field with his colleagues. This year, he decided to plant a foreign fruit called 'Avocado' for the first time. If this experiment is successful, he will encourage local farmers to plant avocado as an alternative crop, which is very beneficial for health.
At this time, the villagers of Dare village and all of Shinde's colleagues were present, along with him.
He interacted with the media on this occasion. Deputy Chief Minister Shinde said that the soil in the vicinity of Dare village in the Koyna river belt of Mahabaleshwar taluka of Satara district is very fertile, and no matter what crop is grown in it, it will grow well.
Deputy Chief Minister Shinde has expressed confidence that this attempt to plant avocado in his field will definitely be successful. Shinde also expressed his belief that if that happens, farmers in this region, which cultivates berries like strawberries and blueberries, will find another cash crop through avocado cultivation. This is why he has tried to make this experiment a success in his field.
