Bhopal: Impersonator Caught At Examination Centre, Jailed
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A person was caught impersonating in an examination held to recruit lower division clerks in Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The examination conducted by National Test Agency was held at Central School in Bangrasia on Sunday.
According to Misrod police station incharge Manish Raj Singh Bhadoria, the accused Sonu Yadav from Patna in Bihar was caught attempting to take exam in place of another candidate Bablesh Meena from Dausa, Rajasthan.
The incident came to light during biometric verification. As Yadav hesitated and offered excuses, exam staff insisted on the fingerprint scan. When the biometrics did not match, suspicion grew.
When questioned further, Yadav tried to flee but was immediately apprehended by staff and handed over to the police.
Bhadoria said Yadav was produced in court on Monday and sent to jail. He initially refused to reveal his identity and carried no ID proof. Only after prolonged questioning by senior police officials did he admit to being Sonu Yadav, a competitive exam aspirant.
However, he did not disclose how much he was paid for the impersonation or who was behind the arrangement. Police are investigating to uncover the full extent of the fraud.
