Schools In Violence-Hit Murshidabad Reopen After 10 Days
Schools have reopened on Monday (April 21) after almost 10 days in Murshidabad, West Bengal, after violence erupted in various areas during the protests against the Waqf (Amendment) Act on April 11.
While speaking to ANI, a local said that the schools were closed due to the April 11 violence incident, and while the situation is better now, it was shocking for them that the violence erupted on the day. He said that his father had never witnessed any like this before either. “The situation in Dhuliyan is better now,” adding that shops are also opening slowly, but businesses did take a hit during the past few days.
