DGP reviews operational preparedness in South Kashmir Range

SRINAGAR, Apr 20: Director General of Police (DGP), Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat, today concluded his two days’ visit of South Kashmir Range.
As per a statement, the visit aimed at reviewing the operational preparedness of the police and security forces in South Kashmir range.
The visit included individual reviews of Pulwama, Shopian, Kulgam, and Awantipora police districts, the statement said.
During the visit, the DGP also visited forward operational bases at Aripal and the Special Operation Group (SOG) camp at Tral, it said.
The objective of the visit was strengthening the existing security grid, ensuring seamless coordination between different agencies, and bolstering the counter-terrorism efforts in the region, the statement added.
