1,893 vehicles checked to stop illegal mineral mining business in Yamunanagar district
The teams of the district administration checked 1,893 vehicles in Yamunanagar district last night to stop illegal mining, illegal transportation of mining minerals and overloading. During this checking drive, a vehicle was impounde. A fine of Rs 4.26 lakh was imposed on the said vehicle.

“The district administration is fully alert to prevent illegal mining. Such activities will not be tolerated in the district under any circumstances. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Parth Gupta said the teams working under the Chhachhrauli SDM checked 1,262 vehicles. He said one vehicle was impounded and a fine of Rs 4.26 lakh was imposed. He said the teams of Jagadhri SDM checked 238 vehicles, the teams of Radaur SDM checked 227 vehicles and the teams of Vyaspur SDM checked 166 vehicles.
He said all the SDMs, the Police Department and the Mining Department of the district were checking vehicles day and night. He further said the Haryana Government was taking a number of steps against illegal mining. He said as per the instructions of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the Director General of Mines and Geology Department, KM Pandurang, himself was monitoring activities of the department.
