Chikkodi SSLC Exam Drama: Students Offer ₹500 and Notes to Pass
Several Class 10 students of a school in Karnataka's Belagavi district attempt to bribe evaluators by sliding ₹500 notes in their answer sheet along with a desperate note saying "pass me" during Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations. The incidents, which have gone viral online, have led to a flurry of debate, mainly from the Chikkodi centre, as per NDTV reports.
One of the most startling cases involved a note reading, “My love is in your hands,” along with a ₹500 note. Another student wrote “Please have tea with this ₹500 and pass me” while others used emotional blackmail with messages such as “If you don’t pass me, my parents won’t let me go to college.” These behaviours not only highlight the amount of stress students experience during exam times but also point towards the serious issues surrounding students' ethical standing and coping mechanisms.
