14 Kapurthala schools get Rs 80L devp projects

As part of the Punjab government’s ambitious ‘Punjab Education Revolution’ initiative, development projects totalling Rs 80 lakh were inaugurated today across 14 government schools in Kapurthala district.

Hoshiarpur MP Raj Kumar Chabbewal inaugurated development works worth Rs 19.71 lakh in several government schools in Phagwara constituency. The projects included an additional classroom built at a cost of Rs 7.51 lakh at Government Primary School, Mauli, a boundary wall and a sports track at Government Senior Secondary School, Jagatpur Jattan, and a new boundary wall at Government Primary School, Bhangu Ki.

Addressing gatherings at various inauguration ceremonies, Chabbewal emphasised that the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was committed to transforming the face of government schools through modern infrastructure.

Punjab State Warehousing Corporation Chairman Gurdev Singh Lakhan also inaugurated several projects, including an additional classroom and boundary wall at Government Primary School, Kot Karar Khan, a science lab at Government Primary School, Wadala Kalan, and new boundary walls and repairs at schools in Dhalival Dona and Mansoorwal Dona villages. The combined cost of these developments totalled Rs 37 lakh.

Chairman of Improvement Trust, Kapurthala, Sajjan Singh Cheema also inaugurated new facilities worth approximately Rs 24 lakh at Government Primary School, Saido Bhulana, Government Senior Secondary School, Bulana, Government Primary School, Jalal Bhulana, and Government Senior Secondary School, Khera Dona. The developments included new boundary walls, sports tracks and other infrastructure upgrades.
