Eight murder accused held in MP’s Gwalior
The Gurugram police on Friday arrested 8 accused, including shooters, in Gwalior in connection with the murder of a dhaba operator in the Pataudi area. The police are interrogating the accused.
The dhaba operator, Deepender, aka Monu (37), a resident of Jatoli village, was allegedly shot dead at his dhaba at Jatoli village in the Pataudi area late Tuesday night, allegedly over a rivalry due to a 2020 murder incident. An FIR was registered against five accused at the Pataudi police station in this regard. After the murder, the accused fled to Gwalior. A team of the Manesar crime unit arrested the accused in Gwalior on Friday.
The accused have been identified as Vicky, Harsh and Vishal, residents of Todapur village; Puneet of Bhoda Kalan village; Vipin of Heli Mandi; Manthan Sharma and Nikhil of Jatoli village; and Saurabh of Murbai ka Pura in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh.
“During interrogation, it was revealed that Puneet and Vipin were the shooters. The weapons used in the murder were provided by Saurabh. In 2020, accused Ritik and Amit’s uncle Inderjeet was murdered by the deceased’s brother, Rohit, who was jailed in the case, but is now out on bail. To take revenge, the accused murdered the dhaba operator,” said a spokesperson of the Gurugram police.
